Liberal, Socialist Congressmen Gone Wild!
By Michael John McCrae
June 30, 2011
Alcee Hastings, John Conyers, John F. Tierney, Jon Huntsman, Barney Frank, Ron Paul, Dick Durbin and Every Other Liberal, Socialist Congressperson Gone Wild!
Wow! June 22nd, 2011 was a remarkable day for Congressional Liberal Socialists! Another pending (sexual-type) ethics violation, a run-down Detroit property owned by one particular Democrat big-mouth, a missed shindig by the criminal wife of another brain-damaged Democrat who was unaware of his wife’s criminal proclivities, a RINO whose family was found to have donated heavily to the reelection of Harry (the land grabber) Reid, a libertarian Republican teaming up with homosexual Democrat Barney Frank to legalize marijuana and a major call by Democrats for a new round of failure-laced “stimulus” spending to drive the American economy further into debt!
From “online wsj.com” comes the report by Gary Fields and Brody Mullins concerning “A congressional ethics panel [that is] investigating allegations that Florida Democratic Rep. Alcee Hastings sexually harassed a member of his staff...”.
Knowing “congressional ethics panels” like we do, we understand that probably nothing will happen to Rep. Hastings as he is a minority representative from a gerrymandered district that only votes for Democrat sexual scumbags. But, it was interesting to even see this report in media. Mr. Hastings has already skated on a couple of questionable ethical problems. From the report: “Mr. Hastings was first elected in 1992, three years after he was removed from the federal bench by the Senate following his impeachment by the House for allegedly conspiring to accept a bribe. A jury found him not guilty of the charge. The House ethics committee said earlier this year that it dropped an investigation into how six lawmakers, including Mr. Hastings, spent federal overseas travel funds, citing a lack of evidence and confusing rules on the use of such money.”
Perhaps Mr. Hastings is attempting to match the unethical ethics record of that other Congressional Democrat scumbag Charles Rangel. Mr. Hastings is a survivor. It won’t matter how much he screws up or screws around, there will be ethics panel Democrats who will make light of the charges and ask the Representative to promise to behave himself.
From the article: “... Judicial Watch, a conservative group, filed a lawsuit as the legal counsel for Winsome Packer, a staffer on a commission Mr. Hastings headed. She alleged that she had been sexually harassed by the congressman and that he retaliated when she tried to report it. At the time, Mr. Hastings was chairman of the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, a group set up in the 1970s to monitor a Cold-War era pact. Ms. Packer, a Republican, also worked for the commission.
I see this as “strike one and two” against Ms. Packer. First is the suit being brought by a “conservative group”. How dare a “conservative group” bring a suit against a beloved socialist sexual harasser? The second strike is “Ms. Packer, a Republican”. How dare a Republican charge any black socialist Democrat with sexual harassment? That type of charge can only be brought against a black conservative Supreme Court nominee, by some liberal socialist babe who found pubic hair on her “Coke” can!
We shall see. We shall see.
I was caught up by the “myFOXDetroit.com” headline: “Detroit Neighborhood: John Conyers House is an Eyesore” which was actually published June 15th, but reprised on the Drudge website June 22nd.
It was a very non flattering picture of Democrat Representative Conyers’ Detroit home. The home looked to be in a state of disrepair with an unkempt lawn. One might think that Mr. Conyers’ constituents would be helpful in fixing his place up while he was attending to his seemingly never ending investigations against the Bush Administration in Washington, D.C. It interests me that his constituents keep voting for him. He must be bringing back some fresh bacon to his district.
But we all know how frugal Mr. Conyers is; using his staff as unpaid babysitters. He probably hasn’t hired anyone (for free) to keep the lawn manicured. If he keeps the place looking like a dump, he probably won’t have his property taxes raised as much as his neighbors who are keeping their lawns and homes repaired.
Laurel J. Sweet of the “Boston Herald” web site wrote and interesting and very comical piece on June 22nd entitled: “House arrest keeps Tierney’s wife from rep’s fund-raiser” which began: “With his wife still under house arrest until August, U.S. Rep. John F. Tierney will be going stag to Friday night’s major [$100 a plate] Women Taking the Lead for Tierney fund-raiser... Jennifer Flagg, spokesman for the Salem Democrat’s convict wife, told the Herald, “Mrs. Tierney is definitely not attending the event. “She wouldn’t do anything to step out of the terms of her probation.”
You have to laugh that the “convict wife” being unable to attend “Women Taking the Lead for Tierney” due to her “house arrest”. If you cannot find your chuckle there, try this: “Patrice Tierney, 60, pleaded guilty in January to aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns by her brother, Robert Eremian, a fugitive from federal charges of racketeering, illegal gambling, money laundering and witness tampering.” So her brother is a “federal fugitive” with a whole host of charges pending. I wonder if they exchange email?
If your funny-bone still isn’t tingling like Chris Matthews’ leg, try this: “The scandal hasn’t scared deep-pocketed donors away from her husband, who has held his office since 1997. Judson Reis, president of Gorton’s Seafoods, Endicott College president Richard Wylie and historic Hawthorne Hotel owner Michael J. Harrington all contributed in recent months, according to Federal Election Commission records.”
It doesn’t seem to matter how corrupt a Democrat politician or his wife might be. The important thing is what the corrupt Democrat can accomplish in the halls of congress to benefit the “deep-pocket donors”. This is one of those stories that speak well for “Term limits”.
And speaking of donors with deep pockets it seems that the Huntsman family (as in John Huntsman, recently declared Republican candidate for president) is really big on Democrat Harry (the land grabber) Reid. The AP article by Jon Ralston was entitled: “Huntsman’s family gave nearly $25,000 to Reid last cycle”
Although Jon Huntsman explains he never personally contributed to anything “Reid”, his family apparently has no qualms about supporting one of the Senate’s leading socialists. From the article: “Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid... has taken a lot of money from the Huntsman family, and the former Utah governor appointed Reid’s son, Josh, to Utah’s Board of Regents. So no wonder Reid said Tuesday, “If I had a choice in that race, I’d choose Huntsman over Romney.”
Well, a quid pro quo is only right I suppose. I think a socialist Harry Reid endorsement of Jon Huntsman is quite appropriate. Mr. Huntsman made the recent announcement of his candidacy at the Statue of Liberty in a woeful attempt to channel Ronald Reagan. But whereas Ronald Reagan excoriated Jimmy Carter in his historic speech; Jon Huntsman showed a great deal of civility and difference to Barack Hussein Obama and his purely Jimmy-Carter-like socialist agenda.
That all the big media outlets are gushing over Huntsman doesn’t speak well for the former Utah governor either. As mainstream media outlets found a way to get RINO John McCain a nomination that was to flash and die in Obama civility; so too Huntsman is being pushed as the most qualified Republican to run against Obama mostly based on his un-conservative conservatism and his “civil” willingness to ignore the Obama record of abject failure.
Yes, June 22nd, 2011 is going to go down in political history. With Congress sporting some of its lowest approval ratings in ever I suppose the next bit of news might gain Congress a point or two on the meter. Luis Robayo, reporting for AFP: “Lawmakers to introduce bill to legalize marijuana” begins his report: “A group of US representatives plan to introduce legislation that will legalize marijuana and allow states to legislate its use, pro-marijuana groups said...”
The proposed legislation is being offered by our leading congressional homosexual activist Rep. Barney Frank. He has found a Republican ally in the libertarian Ron Paul. They want “to end the federal ban on marijuana”. This is only a prelude to a fight by the federal government to render the appropriate taxes against the substance (as they do cigarettes), but to see a so-called Republican co-sponsor anything with a major architect of the current economic crisis facing America (Please remember Frank’s complicity in Fannie Mae/Freddy Mac) is to wonder what kinds of promises may be passing between these two lawmakers.
I just believe the whole deal is to bring in more tax revenue and adding marijuana to the list of taxable vices may make Barney Frank feel a little more comforted about his causing the country trillion-dollar deficits with his insistence in giving home mortgages to people who were incapable of ever paying for them. Ron Paul, being libertarian has made drug legalization part of his platform so his co-sponsorship is no surprise here.
So the country is in deep, economic doo-doo and Congress has been in “negotiations” over how best to reduce the trillions of dollars in debt produced over the past 4 years of Democrat House and Senate control and I read this: “ Wed Jun 22, 2011, “Democrats call for new stimulus”. The Democrats want more money. The Democrats want more spending. The 3 trillion dollars they’ve already spent while losing 4 million jobs hasn’t been enough. The Democrats want more.
From the “Reuters” report by Richard Cowan and Andy Sullivan, found on Drudge: “Democratic leaders called…for additional spending to boost the sluggish U.S. economy, setting up a fresh hurdle for bipartisan efforts in Washington to head off a government debt default this summer.”
Three trillion dollars of spending hasn’t done anything for the “sluggish” American economy. In answer to the problem the Democrats want to spend more money we do not have to produce jobs where no one is hiring due to the socialist policies of the Obama government. Quoting: "Get the recovery right before you get in this deficit-cutting mode," Assistant Senate Democratic Leader Dick Durbin told reporters. "Get people back to work. Let's start moving in that direction."
But this is what Dick (Turban) Durbin and his good Democrat socialist buddies have been hoping to do by spending three trillion non-existent dollars; but not really. The intention of the three trillion was to purchase car companies and turn them over to union control; to pay back their ACORN buddies for all the hard work getting people to purchase homes they could not afford; to support George Soros for all the wonderful press Democrats received during the election cycle; to give massive amounts of money to Democrat supporters on Wall Street and let’s not forget all the vacations and golf outings of the First Family. All of that was quite stimulated with three, one-trillion-dollar rounds of “stimulus”.
I really wish November, 2012 would hurry up and get here.
