Textile Gems Products Selected As Finalist In 2 Categories Of Gifty Awards

TEXTILE GEMS™ has been selected as one of 10 finalists in 2 categories of the 2nd ANNUAL GIFTY AWARDS, sponsored by Museums and More Magazine. The Giftys competition awards the best gift product of the year in a total of 5 industry categories.

Museums and More magazine announced the finalists for its 2011 Giftys Awards via email blast on October 27, 2011.   TEXTILE GEMS™ (a handcrafted textile arts business in New York City) was selected as one of 10 finalists in two categories of the competition. TEXTILE GEMS™ was launched in 2002 by jewelry designer Andy Pastorino and textile collector and artist rep Fran Seigel).

In the Paper and Stationery category, Textile Gems™ was selected for their 3-card set of holiday cards featuring striking close-up images from their antique Japanese kimono collections.  The cards are beautifully accented with antique gold envelopes.  In the Jewelry and Wearables category, the selection of Textile Gems™ came for their Kimono Gems™ cuff bracelet, fabricated with a fragment of actual vintage Japanese kimono silk, preserved under clear resins over a tapered brass base.

Museums & More magazine–a quarterly publication free to gift product retailers--sponsors “The Giftys,” and welcomes voting participation from subscribers and other retailers.
